Process

In order for us to create a unique and personal design, we take time to learn as much as we can about our client, including lifestyle and personal style. This stage of theproject involves an initial style site visit to gather measurements and take photos of the property to gain a better understanding of the space.

For new build project works we will carry out an initial meeting to review and discuss any proposed project plans, be they conceptual or approved for construction drawings. It is important at this initial stage to discuss expected project timescales and budget.

It can be a daunting prospect to provide a budget, however we strongly believe this is key to ensuring we fully meet our client’s expectations. During this stage, we will provide a proposal to the client outlining our interpretation of the brief along with a breakdown of our design fees for approval.

Following on from the initial briefing stage, we will prepare and present conceptual designs, including scale floor plans to show proposed furniture layouts and suggestions of any potential structural or layout changes which may be required.

The design concept stage will involve a full design presentation including furniture and lighting suggestions in addition to a design scheme showcasing proposed soft and hard finishes. For those seeking assistance with artwork and styling, suggestions can also be provided. We encourage this to be a very interactive and collaborative process where we welcome our client’s feedback and comments ensuring that we are responding to their wants and needs for the project.

Following conceptual design approval, we will progress to the design development stage where designs are further developed and refined. All bespoke furniture and joinery proposals will be presented along with all final finishes for approval.

This process involves multiple visits to finalise measurements, additional sourcing and liaising with our trusted team of sub-contractors, tradesmen, and craftsmen to discuss all details of the project. At the conclusion of this stage a fully itemised breakdown of costs will be presented and, with approval to proceed, a deposit invoice will be issued for all ordering to commence.

With an agreed schedule of works in place the work will commence. As work progress, regular site meetings will be held to ensure the design is being carried out and implemented to our exact specifications and that the works are progressing as planned. This stage will also include co-ordination of all suppliers and craftsmen to deliver a project of the highest standard.

All furniture will be installed and on conclusion the project will be styled, where required. Throughout this process we will be in regular contact with the client to keep them updated, as well as carrying out regular inspections and identifying any snagging during the final stages.
